Cennetin Davetlileri - İbnü'l-Cevzi

"When the angels took their souls as good people, they said, 'Greetings, return to heaven for what you have done!' they say." Surat an-Nahl, 16:32.

Human beings, from the moment they were born into this world, tend to struggle and indulge in life difficulties and worldly blessings as if they were dead. However, that divine breath blown into the soul of the Son of Adam calls him to his origin and reminds him that the realms and the real life are not composed of this world.

İbnü'l-Cevzi, in the Guests of Heaven, discusses the impermanence of this world and the life of the hereafter in four main chapters, prompting the reader to heed this call. In other words, on the occasion of these lines, he invites his addressee to heaven once again. Human beings should try to become acquainted with rational and transmitted sciences by sacrificing knowledge, and should give zakat of this science. But first of all, he must know that this world is a testing ground, he must be conscious of the roles he has in the divine scenario, and he must meet some of the reasons he has been exposed to and fallen for, by surrendering to fate.

In this vein, The Guests of Heaven is a book of counsel that reminds one to question oneself once again and think about where one is going.
