 Abu Hamid Muhammed al-Ghazali, known as Huccetü'l-Islam by the Islamic world, was born in the city of Tus, near Khorasan, in 450 A.H. (1058 AD). Imam Ghazzali, who worked in every field of Islamic sciences, left many works after him and died in 505 (1111). One of his most important works is IhyauUlûmi'd-Dîn. He later abbreviated this work on asceticism and morality in different works.

Among these works, one of the works circulating among the people is the work called Mükâşefetü'l-Kulûb. Fear of Allah, patience and illness, defeating the nafs and resisting the devil, heedlessness, hypocrisy and hypocrisy, repentance, love, obedience to Allah, loving Him, loving His Messenger, trust, prayer, order l-maruf and nehy-i ani'l-munkar, the enmity of the devil, trust and repentance, being merciful, gossip, abusiveness, zakat, the right of family and parents, continuing worship and abandoning the haram, remembering death, virtue of contentment, Topics such as the scale of deeds and the torment of hell, the virtue of remembering Allah (swt), the virtue of wudu, the virtue of prayer, eating haram, the prohibition of interest, and the rights of the slave are covered.

İslam dünyasının Huccetü’l-İslam olarak tanıdığı Ebu Hamid Muhammed el-Gazâlî, hicri 450 (m. 1058) yılında Horasan civarındaki Tus şehrinde dünya gelmiştir. İslamî ilimlerin her sahasında eser veren İmam Gazâlî ardından pek çok eser bırakarak hicri 505 (m. 1111) tarihinde vefat etmiştir. Onun en önemli eserlerinden biri, İhyâuUlûmi’d-Dîn’dir. Zühd ve ahlaka dair olan bu eserini daha sonraları farklı eserlerinde ihtisar etmiştir.

Bu eserleri arasında halk arasında elden ele dolaşanlardan biri de elinizdeki Mükâşefetü’l-Kulûb adlı eserdir. Eserde, Allah korkusu, sabır ve hastalık, nefsi yenmek ve şeytana karşı koymak, gaflet, fasıklık ve nifak, tevbe, sevgi, Allah’a itaat, O’nu sevmek, Resulü’nü sevmek, emanet, namaz, emr-i bi’l-maruf ve nehy-i ani’l-münker, şeytanın düşmanlığı, emanet ve tevbe, merhametli olmak, dedikodu, koğuculuk, zekat, sıla-i rahim ve ana baba hakkı, ibadete devam ve haramı terketmek, ölümü hatırlamak, kanaatin fazileti, ameller mizan ve cehennem azabı, Allah’ı (c.c) zikretmenin fazileti, abdestin fazileti, namazın fazileti, haram yemek, faizin yasak oluşu, kul hakları gibi konular işlenmiştir.
